Sorry for my terrible sick voice in this video! I know the NZ accent can be hard to understand at the best of times, but its made worse when its nasaly and sick sounding!

This video was requested a while ago and since I just released a new line of t-shirts for my little t-shirt business I thought it was the perfect time to talk about how I design t-shirts. I often get questions about what software I use, but I honestly believe that design isn’t about the software you use to create something. Design is a skill and software is just a tool for creating, there isn’t some magical t-shirt design software that will do the creative job for you unfortunately!

As you’ll see in the video I do a lot of hand drawn stuff for my tshirts. but if you’re really interested in the software, I vectorise the drawings in Illustrator and sometimes just tweak the contrast in Photoshop if my scanned drawing is high-res.

If there’s anything else you’re curious about let me know! I love talking about design so would love to answer any questions 🙂
